Athena Katsaros, “Unfold your own myth.” — Rumi Athena Katsaros is a leadership trainer and an executive and team coach. She works with executives who are committed to being exceptional leaders, visionaries, and catalysts for change in their organizations. In her work with teams, Athena uses a powerful methodology based on the Team Diagnostic™ Assessment tool to help teams create greater alignment, accountability, and performance. Athena's training programs focus on leadership, teamwork and creativity. Through their work with her, executives develop their emotional intelligence as well as their creative and strategic thinking. Athena acts as a partner and trusted confidant who listens, challenges, encourages, and guides her clients to meet their goals and overcome their challenges. Her clients include Microsoft, American Express, Ogilvy Advertising, Kaiser Permanente, Joie De Vivre Hospitality, Tuesday's Children, the US Army's Special Forces, and Thunderbird School of Global Management. Her experience includes 20 years as a marketing strategist for Fortune 500 companies including Cisco Systems, Xerox, Hewlett Packard, and BankAmerica. In this role she planned, developed and directed complex projects, including national and international training programs, multimedia marketing campaigns, and large conferences and events. As a member of the Executive Committee for the Business Council for Peace, Athena co-develops and delivers training and mentoring programs for businesswomen in post-conflict countries, including Afghanistan and Rwanda. She has worked with the Center for International Profitable Enterprise (CIPE) to deliver train-the-trainer programs in Kabul, Afghanistan. Athena is a principal of IdeaTribe and a member of the faculty of The Coaches Training Institute, a worldwide training organization headquartered in San Rafael, California. She is also on the faculty of the Artemis program at the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, Arizona. Athena holds a Bachelors degree in International Politics from UCLA and a Masters in International Business from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She is a certified leader of Creativity in Business and a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach.
